In the heart of Africa an old tale was found,
Discovered by Baron von Saint Paul, renowned,
A small country called Tanzania- calls
Where African violets captivated all.
Through hands and hearts they journeyed far,
Now you will find them where you are!
Nurtured and cherished, they found their way,
To homes and gardens in a colorful display.
With dedication they stayed alive,
The little plants a passion to revive,
Tenderly nurtured they began to bloom,
In rooms with sadness they banished gloom.
Through trials and triumphs they evolved,
Their beauty and charm the world resolved.
Over 10,000 varieties now stand,
A tribute to those with a nurturing hand.
To all who kept them growing with care,
For the joy they bring we're grateful to share,
From Baron von Saint Paul to countless more,
African violets thrive- treasures to adore.
So let's raise our glasses and hearts up high,

Where They Laugh and Play
In the land of African violets, diverse and grand,
A funny tale unfolds, so let’s give them a hand.
Standards, semi-miniatures, and miniatures too,
They'll make you smile, oh yes, it's so true!
In a magical garden the violets did play,
Standard trailers danced in a quirky display.
With semi-trailers swaying side by side,
Mini-trailers twirled in a whimsical ride.
Variegated leaves, a fashion parade,
With girls' leaves shimmering as colors cascade,
Quilted leaves stitched with nature's design,
Serrated leaves with edges in a fancy slim line.
Longfolia leaves stretched reaching for the skies,
Chimeras played tricks with a twinkle in their eyes,
And blooms! Oh, the blooms, what a sight to
behold,
From solids to fantasies, a story to be told.
Edged blooms smiled with lines that delight,
And in-between blooms, oh, what a sight!
They bloomed in harmony a joyful array,
In this magical garden where they laugh and play.
In this magical land diversity thrives,
And in each violet's heart, happiness survives.
So when you see them, let out a cheer,
African violets are so special and so very dear!
